Insuranceopedia Explains Assignor
The transfer of rights may also indicate a transfer of obligation. If one enters a contract where they get paid to do a duty for a specific period of time, they must perform this duty during that specified period. The assignment can allow the assignee to delegate a duty to another party if they are incapable of discharging it. Some assignment contracts, however, forbid such a move.
