Insuranceopedia Explains Appurtenance
A house’s appurtenances are the objects that are considered attached to it or adjunct to it. This includes not only the yard and trees, but also other structures on the property, such as garages, decks, and swimming pools, as well as items that are in some ways part of the house, such as air conditioning units, furnaces, and septic systems.
