Injury Schedule

Updated: 11 March 2024

What Does Injury Schedule Mean?

An injury schedule is a list of injuries that are covered by an insurance policy. Insurance companies generally provide a certain amount of compensation for specific types of injuries listed on the schedule. The more serious the injury, usually the more compensation granted.

Workers' compensation insurance policies commonly include injury schedules.

Insuranceopedia Explains Injury Schedule

Non-scheduled injuries differ from scheduled injuries insofar as they are not included on a list, or schedule for an insurance policy.

Whether or not non-scheduled injuries receive coverage can vary from policy to policy and insurer to insurer. However, employers usually try to get coverage for most types of injury that can occur at their premises when considering workers' compensation insurance policies in order to prevent having to go through lawsuits when injuries occur.
