What Does Insurance Institute Of America Mean?
The Insurance Institute of America (IIA) was founded in 1909 to provide training for those who want to join the insurance industry. In 1953, the IIA began collaborating with the American Institute for Property and Liability Underwriters.
In 2009, the IIA has been renamed The Institutes.
